Rob is a UAS operations and regulatory strategist with nearly 30 years of experience spanning defense, transportation, and commercial deployments. He currently serves as Director of Regulatory Affairs at Censys Technologies, where he co-developed FAA-approved location-assessment metrics and helped secure nationwide, performance-based waivers (including shielded operations without visual observers) while guiding clients to 60+ Part 107 approvals. Significant wins include industry-first authorizations for high-altitude BVLOS and BVLOS in dense, controlled airspace. He previously served as Project Manager for MassDOT Aeronautics. His broader background includes building and scaling UAS service operations, advising on complex autonomy programs, leading DARPA-sponsored UAS development, and managing maritime and ground robotics initiatives. He holds an FAA Remote Pilot certificate, two patents, and remains an active contributor to industry publications and forums.
