The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) in partnership with the Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA), City of Overland Park, and U.S. Department of Transportation is currently working to complete the 69Express Project. The project is the largest single project in KDOT’s history and the first express lane project in the state. This presentation will dive deeper into KDOT’s implementation of latest all-electronic tolling technology, stewardship of assets to address the state’s top safety and congestion issue, and the partnerships necessary for a successful project.
