In this presentation we will discuss a new methodology and tool being developed by MnDOT to reduce fatal and serious injury crashes. This tool is based upon using driver behavior along with a statistical model to predict the probability that a given road segment will have at least one fatal/serious injury crash in the next five years. The model results have been integrated into a GIS-based online tool that will be demonstrated.
