Anna Pierce is the first Carbon Reduction Coordinator at the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). Anna’s role has involved guiding the development of the Minnesota Carbon Reduction Strategy (CRS), MnDOT’s Carbon Estimator Tool (CET), and Carbon Reduction Program (CRP) solicitations. Anna joined MnDOT in 2020 as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Coordinator where she assisted in the development of the Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan (SMTP) while managing MPO grants and coordinating with MPOs. Prior to joining MnDOT, she worked at the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments as an Assistant Planner and in Baltimore, MD at JMT as a Planner. She has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design, a minor in Religious Studies, and over 10 years of professional experience in planning and design. In her free time, Anna spends time with her husband and three kids camping, travelling, and attending various kids’ activities.
