Connected Vehicle Data

The modern connected vehicle has as many as 200 sensors onboard tracking everything from tire pressure to emergency braking. This creates an immense data set that can be leveraged by Infrastructure Owner Operators to improve asset management, safety, and operations on their networks. However, this burgeoning field is exploding with new products and players, making consumption of this data difficult without standards around the data. This panel will explore the PFS idea circulated by MoDOT to establish a national CV Data Center. This panel will discuss the challenges, successes and best practices of several states in the MAASTO region and will offer potential solutions to the data problem.
