Michigan’s Center for Automotive Research (CAR) informs and advises through independent, industry-driven research, education, and dialogue, enabling a more viable and sustainable automotive ecosystem.  President Amici will speak to investments in EVs and batteries, battery manufacturing skill gaps, and research and development from CAR’s recent study. 

Ohio’s Auto and Advanced Mobility Workforce Strategy

Ohio Lt. Governor Jon Husted launched Ohio’s Auto and Advanced Mobility Workforce Strategy in June 2023, which is a strategic plan created to strengthen and build Ohio’s advanced manufacturing workforce.  The strategy was developed in collaboration with industry partners, employers, education and training organizations, and community partners across the state to identify and find solutions for workforce gaps in the industry. The plan outlines a pathway for increasing career awareness, broadening the talent pool, and establishing and scaling education and training programs around the state.
