Matt Smith is a practice builder with Kimley-Horn in Michigan. After graduating from Penn State, Matt has built a 30-year career in the transportation technology and mobility industry, including 11 with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). Matt has been continuously engaged with and leading the planning, design and deployment of local and regionally-based connected vehicle infrastructure and applications since 2005. In addition to his emerging technology background, Matt has worked on and led projects and initiatives in transportation planning, traffic engineering, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and transportation system management and operations (TSMO).
