Mahmood Shehata is a Director of Transportation Engineering with RK&K, and he is based in suburban Philadelphia. Mahmood brings over 23 years of experience, with a strong background in traffic engineering and ITS, transportation planning and design, and program management. Since late 2018, Mahmood has served as the lead program administrator for Pennsylvania’s Zone Speed Camera program, helping to steer the program through its pilot phase and into its permanent legislative acceptance in December 2023. Mahmood is also helping other states with work zone safety camera program development–notably, the Indiana Department of Transportation and the Washington State Department of Transportation.
