2026 NC Transportation Summit – Call for Presentations 

Conference Theme: Innovation Under Construction 

Launch. Build. Deliver. Protect. 

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is pleased to announce the Call for Speaker Presentations for the 2026 N.C. Transportation Summit, held in downtown Raleigh, N.C., on October 27, 28, 2026.  

We are honored and excited to host local, state, and federal transportation agencies, elected officials, industry partners, and thought leaders from around the world. 

This year’s theme is Innovation Under Construction, focusing on four pillars that support project development and transportation safety: launch, build, deliver, protect. We invite submissions that fall into the following four categories and welcome creative thought on all subject matters to improve our state transportation systems. 

 

· Launch: Innovative Technology and Emerging Transportation Solutions  

  Share forward‑thinking tools, ideas, and technologies shaping the future of mobility.  

  

· Build: Workforce Development and Industry Growth  

  Showcase initiatives that grow skills, support talent, and advance a thriving transportation workforce.  

  

· Deliver: Project Delivery, Funding, and Implementation  

  Present effective approaches, funding strategies, and lessons learned from real‑world project delivery.  

  

· Protect: Safe and Secure Transportation Networks   

  Highlight strategies and innovations that strengthen safety, security, environmental sustainability, and system resilience.  

 

Submission Guidelines:

• Abstracts are limited to 500 words Maximum.
• Abstracts shall include presentation title, format, and key learning objectives.
• Provide presenter(s) names and affiliation(s).
