Trevor Reed currently serves as Volkert’s Vice President of Design, where he oversees all engineering production for the Southwest Region including Texas, Oklahoma, and Utah. He received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University and is a licensed professional engineer in Texas. He has spent 15 years designing and developing PS&E for state, local, and private utility and transportation projects, construction engineering and management, and delivery of programmatic oversight for strategic state highway projects. His projects have ranged from large complex urban interstate corridors to corridor improvement projects. Over the last five years, Trevor has served as the Project Manager for the $750M IH 10/US 69 interchange reconstruction in Beaumont, TX, while serving alongside Travis as Deputy PM for the three major reconstruction projects along IH 35 in San Marcos and Austin, TX. Due to the magnitude of these projects, Trevor has managed complexities such as multiple simultaneous PS&E packages, changing design criteria and elements, supplementals, accelerated schedules, changing letting dates, criteria (4R), and multi-level interchange traffic control planning.
