Speaker Bio
Deric Wyatt is ARDOT’s State Maintenance Engineer. While pursuing his degree, Wyatt began his career as an intern performing field engineering work in the Department’s Resident Engineer Office in Osceola. After joining the Department full time, Wyatt has served in growing leadership roles across four Districts before his current role as State Maintenance Engineer. His responsibilities include oversight of Departments Pavement and Asset Management Systems, Statewide Maintenance Crews (Striping, Signing, and Milling Crews), Sign Shop, Mowing and Herbicide Programs, Emergency Management Program, and Facilities Management (Welcome Centers, Rest Areas, and all Department Facilities).
Outside the office, Wyatt serves as the President of the Grant County United Resources Coalition and is a long-time volunteer soccer coach. Wyatt enjoys traveling, especially his visits to more than 30 National Parks and 22 major league baseball stadiums.
Wyatt holds bachelor’s degree in engineering from Arkansas State University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer.
