Description: This presentation will describe how Florida DOT has approached the challenge of delivering the large and complex Moving I-4 Forward program in an efficient manner that maximizes the objectives of design build with respect to time, clear definition of responsibilities, and innovation. The $3.5 billion program consists of seven projects. The modified phased design build delivery method will be detailed and compared to typical design build methods, which allows for accelerated innovation, competition, and price certainty for agencies.
