As part of its larger organizational improvements, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation realigned its public involvement efforts to better align with the agency’s core values. Public involvement is now part of the Community Engagement Program, which envisions these efforts as a continuous and proactive process that extends beyond the project lifecycle to include consistent, long-term relationship building. Additionally, the Community Engagement Program was relocated to the newly created Government and Community Affairs Division, allowing us to leverage the skills of our Communications and Government Relations teams for more effective engagement.
