Researchers in northern Texas Department of Transportation districts are implementing a low cost method for using their existing fleet telemetry provider's GPS devices for collecting data on brine spraying, snow plowing, and other WinterOps activities. Without any special interactions necessary from the vehicle operators, data can be visualized and reported for live monitoring, WinterOps coverage assessment, and postseason planning activities.
