Description

Like many states across the country, Rhode Island and Vermont have recognized for the past decade that the state gas tax revenues have begun to erode as a result of vehicle fuel efficiency and electrification. A number of eastern states were leaders in the piloting of road use charge systems, and implementation is now emerging. Learn how these two states evaluated the systems for a best fit, and worked in their statehouses on enabling legislation and plans for leveraging existing systems for fee collection.
