Delaine Linville is TDOT’s Assistant Chief of Administration and the Director of Human Resources. Since 2008, Delaine has provided support and guidance to almost 4000 directors, managers, and employees in the areas of learning and development, talent acquisition, strategic organizational planning, classification and compensation, employee relations, engagement, and internal communications. Under Delaine’s leadership, the division plays a critical role in aligning business strategy, re-engineering organization structure and processes, and implementing strategic foresight planning. Delaine is particularly proud of her division’s role in facilitating the TDOT Department’s vision and monumental and transformative reorganization efforts which contribute to substantial cost savings and improved work efficiency.
Delaine graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human and Organizational Development and Music Performance. She has earned a Certificate in Foresight Planning and Agile Leadership and is a graduate of the AASHTO National Advanced Leadership Institute. She serves on the Williamson County Executive Board and is a sixth-generation Texan from El Paso, now residing in Franklin, Tennessee with her husband Jim.
