This panel of DOT and consultant construction management experts will discuss the possibility, potential challenges, and benefits of forming an interstate reciprocity certification program that encompasses both universal job elements and state-specific requirements to promote consistency in training, provide easier and more frequent access to training and certification windows, facilitate more effortless movement of workers across state lines, and ultimately enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of construction projects in the WASHTO region. They will also discuss what improvements are needed in the industry to attract and retain new talent in the construction management field.
