Nebraska has authorization for collaborative contracting, both CM/GC and Progressive Design-Build. This session will provide an overview of the steps NDOT has taken, both internally and externally, to implement these new delivery methods successfully. This involves extensive training of DOT staff and outreach to the industry. The outreach was focused not only on education and training, but also on creating an opportunity for the industry to provide input in the development of contract and procurement documents. Participants will learn about the reception of this approach and hear the DOT’s lessons learned.
