Nebraska has authorization for collaborative contracting, both CM/GC and Progressive Design-Build. This session will provide an overview of the steps NDOT has taken, both internally and externally, to successfully implement these new delivery methods. This involves extensive training of DOT staff and industry outreach. The outreach was focused not only on education and training and creating an opportunity for the industry to provide input in the development of contract and procurement documents. Participants will learn how this approach was received and hear the DOT’s lessons learned.
